Renegade to bring Naishi to English-speaking markets! Pre-orders now open!

San Diego, CA  – January 15, 2025 – Renegade Game Studios is thrilled to announce a strategic partnership with Merle Éditions to bring the acclaimed game "Naishi" to the English-speaking market in July 2025.

"Naishi" is a two-player hand optimization and tableau-building game set in feudal Japan. Players develop their territories by acquiring new structures and influential characters to increase their fame, all while adhering to the strict shogun law that forbids the rearranging of cards. The game has been praised for its strategic depth and elegant design, making it a standout choice for enthusiasts of card-based strategy games, and a no-brainer for friendly local game stores to pick up this year!

Renegade is also offering a special sales incentive promo accessory for stores – each copy of Naishi ordered direct from Renegade will come with a promo pack of 10 wooden card holders (5 per player color, screen-printed with player icons). Stores who prefer to order through a Renegade partnered distributor will receive promos as well – ask your distribution representative for specific details. These promos are intended to give friendly local game stores a premium sales incentive that players can find in participating stores while supplies last!

This release follows the success of our previous Essen find, "The Vale of Eternity," which topped the BoardGameGeek hot list and received numerous awards throughout 2023 and 2024, such as the Dice Tower Seal of Excellence. "The Vale of Eternity" performed exceptionally well for hobby stores and was celebrated as a fantastic game and is currently in its 3rd printing after two consecutive sell-outs.
