Play Renegade: Getting Started!
Posted by Renegade Game Studios on Aug 24th 2023
We want to give game masters free resources for our games!
Let's face it, being a game master can be a lot of work! That's why we want to support the GMs who devote their time and energy to running public games at local community events! Read more to learn about the Play Renegade program!
What is Play Renegade?
The Play Renegade program offers Game Master and Storyteller support by providing free adventures and stories which can be run at local events.
What qualifies as a "local event"?
Running games at any public event (local convention, game store, library, school, etc.) qualifies for the program! Private home games do not qualify. Talk to your local game store about their local events! Chances are, they could use another GM!
I run games online. Can I qualify for the Play Renegade program?
If the games are hosted on a platform that is open to the public (startplaying.games, Demiplane, etc.), then yes! If you can provide proof of publicly streaming your games on YouTube or Twitch, you may also qualify! Online games with friends (run on Discord, Roll20, Skype, Zoom, etc.) fall into the private games category and do not qualify.
Which RPGs will resources be available for?
All of our Essence20 and World of Darkness RPGs will be supported! Resources are available for:
- The Power Rangers Roleplaying Game
- G.I. JOE Roleplaying Game
- Transformers Roleplaying Game
- My Little Pony Roleplaying Game
- Vampire: The Masquerade
- Hunter: The Reckoning
- Werewolf: The Apocalypse
Sounds great! How do I sign up?
Fill out the form found on THIS PAGE to be approved for the Play Renegade Program! This page also has info on how players can find games near them!
I only run private games. Can I access these adventures too?
Everyone will be able to access these resources after the end of each season! On August 28th, all adventures from season one will be available as PDFs in our webstore for purchase.
Thank you again to all the Game Masters out there giving back to the community; whether is be in your friendly local game store, public library, or even online! We hope that these free resources can help you continue being wonderful community-builders!
