Founded by Scott Gaeta in 2014, it’s time to look back at 7 years of accomplishments and growth, and look ahead to many more. We’re very excited about the games we have coming still this year, and even for the projects that in some cases are still on the drawing board. We’ve got so much more to share with you about all your favorite games and game lines, but for now, lets take a look at the path that got us to where we are today!

2014 -

• Company founded! First published game was a revised version of Gravwell: Escape from the 9th Dimension.
• Lanterns: The Harvest Festival was the first all-new production from Renegade, began our very successful partnership with Foxtrot Games, and continues to be a successful line to this very day!
• Awards:
  • Gravwell wins 2014 Mensa Select Award

2015 -

• Awards
  • Lanterns named a 2015 Mensa Select Winner
  • Gravwell: Escape from the 9th Dimension wins Origins Awards Best Family Game

2016-

• Renegade launches a successful partnership with digital publisher Direwolf Digital, beginning with the deck-building board game Clank!
• Awards:
  • World’s Fair 1893 wins 2016 Mensa Select Award

2017 -

• We kick off a partnership with Shem Phillips and Garphill Games, releasing Raiders of the North Sea.
• We partner with graphic novel publisher Oni Press to create Scott Pilgrim’s Precious Little Card Game.

  • Clank! Wins 2017 Mensa Select Award

2018 -

• We launch our first Kickstarter campaign, for the Overlight RPG successfully entering the world of roleplaying games.
• Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid is our 2nd Kickstarter, launches one of our biggest product lines, and introduces us to a whole new audience, making over $700,000!

  • Raiders of the North Sea and Ex Libris named 2018 Mensa Select award winners
  • Ex Libris named Origins Awards Best Card Game

2019 -

• The Solo Hero Series, a line of dedicated solo games, launches with Proving Grounds, released at GenCon.
• Awards
  • Kids on Bikes - 2019 ENnie Awards Best Family Game
  • Architects of the West Kingdom and Gunkimono are named 2019 Mensa Select Winners.

2020 -

• Renegade and Hasbro announce further partnerships for games set in the G.I. JOE, Transformers, and My Little Pony universes, as well as additional Power Rangers titles.
• Renegade launches partnership with Paradox Interactive, Kickstarting the Vampire: The Masquerade Rivals Expandable Card Game
• First products on Roll20 with Wardlings!
• Renegade launches their first jigsaw puzzles, based on the cover art from 4 of their best-selling games.
• Awards
  • Paladins of the West Kingdom named the SXSW Tabletop Game of the Year
  • Teens in Space takes Origins Awards Best Roleplaying Game

2021 -

• My Father’s Work by T.C. Petty III becomes Renegade’s most successful Kickstarter yet, making nearly $1 million.
• Renegade takes over publication of Vampire: The Masquerade 5th Edition Roleplaying game and future World of Darkness RPGs
• We launch deck-building and roleplaying games for Transformers, Power Rangers, and G.I. JOE.
• Our first streaming live-play RPG show, The Nightlife, premieres on Twitch!
• Awards
  • The Search for Planet X named the SXSW Tabletop Game of the Year
