Adepticon 2026 Recap!

Adepticon 2026 Recap!

Posted by Renegade Game Studios on Apr 2nd 2026

Check out what we got up to at Adepticon this year!

We had an amazing time at Adepticon this year! Attendees were able to grab the new G.I. JOE Heroscape titles, demo the game, participate in a paint and take, and play in events like our Valkyrie Trial, and more!

THE BOOTH

On the booth, we had an AMAZING terrain display that showed off some of our newest terrain, including Toxic Water, Toxic Land, Concrete, Asphalt, Forest Trees, and Caverns. Attendees were able to pick up all the new G.I. JOE Heroscape titles, along with the two army expansions and terrain set releasing next week!

NEW FIGURE AND TERRAIN PREVIEWS

Attendees also got a first look at some upcoming figures and terrain! Check out some first-look pictures below.

PAINT & TAKE AND THE PAINTING COMPETITION

A bunch of folks stopped by throughout the show to participate in our free paint & take! Attendees were able to paint one of our four new G.I. JOE miniatures: Scarlett, Duke, Cobra Commander, or Destro.

We also had a competition for miniature painters! Painters competed for the title of Best Hero, Best Squad, and Best Paint-and-Take Figure. We had some excellent contenders and some very hard decisions as judges!

Best Squad: COBRA Troopers by Cody Yanna

Best Hero: Xiamara the Kyrie Warrior by Tyler Schneider

Best Paint and Take: Destro by Michael Jordal

Honorable Mentions:

'Lightning Adelbern', by Master Roshi

'Raelin the Kyrie Warrior', by Michael Jordal

'Necrotech Nightmare', by Sam Louzon

ORGANIZED PLAY

It was a jam-packed week of Heroscape tournaments! We ran learn-to-play games with the new Rumble at the Rift Battle Box for dozens of new and interested players over the course of the convention, and handed out a Deflectatron promo figure with each one!

We had five side events which included Monster Mash, Highlander, Heat of Battle, Yo Joe, and Treasure Trove!

Our Valkyrie Trial saw 22 contestants duking it out for a first chance at the new Sgt. Drake Alexander Valkyrie trial figures! In the end, it came down to a climactic game of Megasilver's COBRA Troopers vs. Master Roshi's Maladrix and Frostclaws combo. Master Roshi took the win!

Thank you to everyone who joined us at Adepticon, and we look forward to another incredible year next year!
